Elizabeth’s First Day of Pre-K

This morning I dropped Elizabeth off at her first day of Pre-K. While her Pre-K class is in the same place as her daycare has been, you could tell when we walked into the building that she knew it was going to be different today.

We walked into the room, checking the names on each of the two doors, and at least there were three kids from daycare this summer that said hello to Elizabeth. One of the little girls smiled and got a little excited, and her mother said that she’d been talking about Elizabeth all summer. While I’d heard her name from Elizabeth every-so-often, I really didn’t know who she was. I really need to step up my social skills, just so Elizabeth has some kids at her birthday party come October.

Gawd, I just can’t believe that my baby is in school. Where did the time go?
