Rock and A Hard Place, Sort-of

I can?t remember if I posted anything about this, and from a quick glance, I can?t find anywhere that I?ve posted this, but Big Ol? News is going forward with the paperwork to hire me full-time. I?m still on the fence about how I feel about this, but it?s not like I?m going to turn it down, since I?ve become accustomed to a regular (and good) paycheck.

The Pros:

I generally like the people that I work with.
I can do the job easily.
It?s an easy commute.
Really good money and good benefits.
I can move within the company to do other things after a while.
I get an extra two weeks of PTO.

The Cons:

What I?m doing even a trained monkey can do, and it?s not what I want to do for a living.
Big Corporate Bullshit, which isn?t anything new.
No holidays, which is why #6 in the Pros happens.
Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians. Which is kinda like #2 in this list, but slightly different.
Time-sucking for anything outside of the office.

I feel like I?m back at Don?t Blow Shit Up (AKA Generic Initials, Inc/Current Job in the archives), in some respects, because of the Cons, but also for some of the Pros. So, yes, I?ll be staying here, at least until something better comes along.

Or the lottery. I?m still pulling for the lottery.
